In full: "Future or Past no richer secret folds, O friendless Present! then thy bosom holds. R. Waldo Emerson." Mounting traces to verso, overall fine condition. Sold together with an original 1876 CDV portrait photograph issued by G. K. Warren Portraits studio of Boston, Massachusetts.
