Bauer, Harold. (1873–1951). Original Unique Photograph. A striking and apparently unique photograph of the wonderful English musician, who began as a successful violinist and later had a major career as a pianist. A student of Paderewski, he premiered Debussy's "Children's Corner" and after settling in the US, founded the Beethoven Association and taught for many years at the Manhattan School of Music.

The present richly printed and truly sumptuous image was taken in Vancouver by the English author Alleyne Ireland (1871 - 1951), who has signed in pencil in the lower left corner. With 2 small abrasions in the lower right corner, otherwise fine and measuring 18.5 x 23 cm.
