A short ANS from the renowned French actress and cabaret singer who was immortalized in a number of works by prominent Belle Époche poster artists Henri Toulouse-Lautrec and Jules Cheret. Undated, but 1896. 1 page, letterhead of the Hotel Knickerbocker, New York. Translated in full: "Madame, would you kindly like to come see me Saturday at noon? My most distinguished sentiments  / Yvette Guilbert / here attached your little..." Mounted with a small haltone portrait to an album sheet, general overall toning, else fine. 5.75 x 9.4 inches; 14.5 x 24 cm. 

Guilbert made successful tours of England and Germany in 1895 and the United States in 1896, when she performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City, presumably around the time of the present note..
