Established in 2006, Schubertiade Music & Arts offers a unique selection of rare and interesting items for collectors, scholars, music lovers, gift-givers, museums and libraries.

One of the most trusted dealers in the world of rare books and manuscripts, owner and director Gabriel Boyers was President of the Professional Autograph Dealers Association from 2013 to 2018 and consults and authenticates autographs for major institutions and collectors worldwide. He is also an autograph authenticator for JSA Authentication services and a longstanding member of the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB), Antiquarian Booksellers' Association of America (ABAA), and Professional Autograph Dealers Association (PADA).

Gabriel Boyers is also a Licensed Professional Appraiser (USPAP-Certified) and is available to perform Art, Rare Books and Manuscripts and other Collectibles appraisal services for Estate, Tax and Insurance purposes.

Schubertiade Music & Arts seasonal catalogues are issued regularly and posted online, but we also welcome you by appointment at our Brooklyn, NY gallery or at the International fairs at which we regularly exhibit.

Gabriel Boyers

Since 2006, he has owned and operated Schubertiade Music & Arts, dealing in rare books, manuscripts, ephemera and graphic materials, primarily related to the Performing, Literary and Visual arts. Widely recognized as a leading expert on and authenticator of musical, artistic and literary autographs, he was President of the Professional Autograph Dealers' Association (PADA) from 2013-2018 and consults for and appraises for many of the major private and institutional collections around the world. A member of the Antiquarian Booksellers' Association of America (ABAA) and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB), Boyers was also owner and director of the Boston art gallery KABINETT from 2017 - 2020, where he was described as a "curator unleashed" by the Boston Globe and was winner of an Improper Bostonian "Best of Boston" Award in 2018. He currently owns and directs “B” Dry Goods gallery in Brooklyn, NY, where Schubertiade Music & Arts is also based.

Gabriel Boyers is also an active professional violinist, and has been praised for his “rock steady finger and bow technique” by New Music Connoisseur Magazine and described by The Boston Phoenix as an “elegant, accomplished player.” As recitalist and chamber musician, Gabriel has been heard at numerous festivals and halls and has participated in many world-premiere performances and recordings, including as concertmaster for the Carnegie Hall premiere of "Concerto for Turntables and Orchestra" with DJ Radar, as well as the premiere of “For Lou” by John Luther Adams, which he also recorded for New World Records. He has collaborated with composer Lee Hyla to develop “Cadenza,” a work for solo violin based on portions of the composer’s Violin Concerto, and with pianist Keith Kirchoff, Boyers gave the world premiere of Leo Ornstein’s 3rd Sonata for Violin and Piano. He performs regularly with the Boston Modern Orchestra Project, Odyssey Opera, the Cantata Singers, Emmanuel Music, and the Rhode Island Philharmonic, among others.
