An intriguing album with nineteen manuscript contributions, including fifteen signed autograph musical quotations and four autograph poems, dated 1851–1865, two penned from The Hague, else mostly Brussels. Some of the more notable contributions are from François-Joseph Fétis, Hubert Léonard, Henry Litolff, Émile Prudent, Jakob Rosenhain, Adolphe Samuel, and the poet Augustine-Malvina Blanchecotte. The inscriptions are generally addressed to Madame Fanny Tilmont (1835–1894), née Debas, whose album this evidently was and who is listed in a 1895 edition of the Monatshefte für Musikgeschichte as a piano virtuoso born in Schaerbeck, Belgium. Also includes approx. 30 unused leaves, loose-leafed in bookshaped, blindstamped and gilt-lettered green morocco box, all edges of leaves and box gilt. General wear to box, leaves with slight edge wear but overall fine given age. 10.25 x 7.7 inches (26 x 19.5 cm.).
