A large caricature portrait of the First Lady of Song boldly signed and inscribed at the left: "To Zena, all the best, Ella Fitzgerald." The artist, Canadian caricaturist Ted Michener, was employed in Toronto from the 1960's to the 1990's, and the dedicatee, Zena Cheevers, was a dancer and booking agent for the Imperial Room in Toronto, where Ella Fitzgerald performed several times in the 1970's and 80's. 12 x 17 inches, printed on semi-gloss Kodak paper, small stain upper margin, a few other small stray marks and light creases, else fine.
