Original woodcut engraving after Thomas Webster's ca. 1847 painting "The Village Choir," depicting a group of English village musicians singing and playing in a church balcony. Engraved by H. Bourne (caption barely visible at the lower right.) Losses to the edges, unevenly trimmed, with painted and varnish highlighting and mounted to card. 7.5 x 6 inches (19.5 x 15 cm). See: British Museum 1872,1012.6249.
