Color reproduction print, boldly hand signed in black marker across the image by the artist, and sold together with an original 8 x 10 inch color photograph of Warhol signing it for the original owner. Both in fine condition. Print measures 6.8 x 6.8 inches (17.5 x 17.5 cm). 

This image of the Disney character Mickey Mouse originally appeared in a portfolio of ten screenprints called 'Myths' published in 1981. The series is based on characters from American Popular culture (the likes of Superman, Dracula, Santa Claus, Uncle Sam and Mickey Mouse) which have become icons, defining different generations. 

Wednesday, July 22, 1981: "At 4:00 the Walt Disney film crew came and shot me in front of my Shoes and my Walt Disney drawings. They asked me who my favorite Disney character was and I said “Minnie Mouse, because she can get me close to Mickey." (p. 397 The Warhol Diaries, Pat Hackett editor)
