Imposing bound set of 1977 Bayreuth festival programs (62 + 71 + 95 + 124 + 102 + 78 pp), signed and inscribed in blue ink on the front page of the first volume ("Tannhauser") by Wolfgang Wagner "Colin! / mit herzlichen dank fur die leibarbeit in Bayreuth / Wolfgang Wagner / 26. VIII. 1977." From the estate of the renowned British conductor Colin Davis. Tape binding starting to crack, else fine.

Known for his interpretations of music by Sibelius and Berlioz, Davis devoted a large portion of his career to opera.
