Autograph Letter Signed ("G. Verdi") in Italian, on a card measuring 12 x 9 cm [4.5 x 3.7 inches], dated 1886 [postmarked envelope January 1, 1887], to Carlo Mangini ("Distinguished Doctor") in Borgo San Donnino, sending his "most heartfelt good wishes for the years 87-88 and a hundred more." Nicely double-matted with an original 1867 engraved portrait by Charles-Alphones Deblois and framed to 30.5 x 45 cm [12 x 17.5 inches]. Together with the original envelope in a pouch affixed the frame verso. Fine.
