Remarkable early photograph of the young Temple, signed in pencil with her printed childhood signature, “To Mrs. Glen, Love, Shirley Temple.” 18.7 x 22.5 cm, mounted to a slightly larger vintage album page. Lower edge somewhat irregularly trimmed, edges nicked and photo slightly rippled. Nevertheless, a remarkable image and signature from Temple's very earliest years.



Temple began her film career in 1932 at the age of three, and in 1934, skyrocketed to superstardom in Bright Eyes, a feature film designed specifically for her talents. She received a special Academy Award in February 1935
