Early original program of the "Serpentine" modern dance and theatrical lighting pioneer who was the embodiment of the Art Nouveau movement and was portrayed by Toulouse-Lautrec, Chéret, Rodin, etc. A California Theatre program for a performance by Miss Fuller, the cover featuring a printed portrait of her with her trademark billowing dress whirling in motion about her. November 28, 1896. 4 pp. The show included performances by Orchestra, a Trombone Duo, The Treble Clef Quartette, a violin performance, and Prof. Chas F. Graeber's Banjo, Mandolin & Guitar Club, though Fuller headlined the performance with her dances "Nuit," "Firmament," "Feu," and "Lis du Nile," one of which occasioned the inclusion of the program note that "Stearn's Yellow Fellow Bicycle is used by La Loie Fuller." Handling creases, else fine.
