Elusive signed program from a Roubaix performance six months before the tragically early death of the great French pianist and composer. A student of Mascagni (!) as a child, he later studied with Cortot, Long and Boulanger. His extravagant lifestyle, good looks, and passionate but highly disciplined playing, gave him a cult status as a pianist but he had a heart attack on the concert stage in 1968 and died only two years later. 21 x 27 cm, 4 pp. Heavy light blue paper stock, creased, the added notation in an unknown hand "mort le 23 Octobre 1970," else fine.
