First edition, RISM B4728 or 4729. Only a total of 3 copies of the 2 issues recorded, all in France. Sold with a short 1976 letter from Francois Lesure regarding this volume.

According to the Privilége (final leaf), Braun was Musicien Ordinaire to the Duc d'Epernon at the date of this work. In all, he was to publish 9 volumes of sonatas for flutes, musettes, and bassoons. The present copy of Op. I is almost certainly that mentioned by Eitner, II p. 177, as being in the possession of Leo Liepmanssohn.
