A fine bold autograph on a 1950 recital program from the American pianist and teacher of Ukrainian birth. A Josef Lhevinne pupil who studied composition with Goldmark, he was a major touring artist who specialized in the Romantic piano repertory. He was a famous professor for many years at Juilliard, where he taught Emmanuel Ax and Garrick Ohlsson, among others.
