Nureyev, Rudolf. (1938–1993). Signed Photograph in "Moments". Striking original photograph of the great dancer in Murray Louis' "Moments" in 1975, boldly signed at the left. Photographed by Beverley Gallegos. In very fine condition. 8 x 10 inches (20.3 x 25.3 cm).

"Moments" was modern choreographer Murray Louis' first work for Nureyev, performed with four younger male soloists from the Scottish Ballet Company. It premiered in 1975 in Madrid. Nureyev saw Louis, who was not trained in ballet, as a choreographer "for male dancers in particular. They invent strange movements and enrich [them] to incredible degree." (Julie Kavanagh, Nureyev: The Life, p. 486).
