Novikoff, Laurent. (1888-1956). Stunning Signed Photograph. A remarkable and rare signed photograph of the great dancer, who danced alternatively between Diaghilev's Ballets Russes (1909 and 1919-1921) and Pavlova's company (1911-1914 and 1921-1928). Novikoff was ballet master at the Chicago Opera from 1919-1933, and the Metropolitan Opera in New York from 1941-1945.



The present photograph is by Blake Studios of London and their imprint appears at the foot of the mount and is stamped additionaly by them on the mount verso. The image measures 14 X 19 cm, 22.5 X 30.5 cm overall. A few stains to the mount, otherwise in very fine condition.
