[Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo] Taylor, Natch. (b. 1948) & Anastos, Peter. (b. 1948). Signed Photographs.
Grouping of two signed photographs featuring founding Ballets Trockadero members Natch Taylor and Peter Anastos together with two photographs signed by their drag alter-egos, Suzina LaFuzziovitch and Olga Tchikaboumskaya.  In fine condition.  Each 8 x 10 inches (20.3 x 25.4 cm.).

"Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo was founded in 1974 in the wake of the Stonewall Riots.  Early performances were held on the makeshift stage of the NYC LGBTQ rights organization known as the West Side Discussion Group, an offshoot of the groundbreaking Mattachine Society, one of the first LGBTQ rights groups in the US.  This historic backdrop has always underscored the Trocks’ commitment to providing a stage for dancers often underrepresented in classical ballet due to their sexual orientation, gender identity, size, social class, race and ethnicity." (Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo)

From the collection of Paul McMahon, a critic, photographer and artist who worked for more than 13 years touring with Marlene Dietrich as the icon’s stage manager, announcer, dresser, secretary and escort, and later spent 25 years as an arts and entertainment reviewer and photographer with Gay Community News, Esplanade, Tommy’s Connection, The Mirror, Bay Windows and other publications.
