Souvenir program for the 1969 film adaptation of Hello, Dolly!, directed by Gene Kelly and starring Barbra Streisand alongside Walter Matthau, with a memorable cameo from Louis Armstrong.  The program includes numerous stills from the film alongside behind-the-scenes photographs and essays.  48 pp.  In fine condition.  8.5 x 11.25 inches (21.6 x 28.6 cm.).
Despite being a failure at the box office, Hello, Dolly! was nominated for seven Academy Awards, including Best Picture.  It took home the statues for Best Art Direction, Best Score of a Musical Picture, and Best Sound.

From the collection of Paul McMahon, a critic, photographer and artist who worked for more than 13 years touring with Marlene Dietrich as the icon’s stage manager, announcer, dresser, secretary and escort, and later spent 25 years as an arts and entertainment reviewer and photographer with Gay Community News, Esplanade, Tommy’s Connection, The Mirror, Bay Windows and other publications.
