A rare signed postcard photograph of the great soprano, the first Filipino opera star. She has signed the most famous image of her in the role she was chosen to sing by Puccini himself. She debuted the role in a number of European opera houses and later also gave first performances in Turandot. Strauss also sought her out to sing Salome. Later she was a much-loved teacher and founded the Asosaction Musical de Filipinas, the Bach Society of the Philippines, and the Artist Guild of the Philippines.
