"Jazz – Photographs Of The Masters" - Deluxe hardcover color illustrated volume by Jacques Lowe, signed and effusively inscribed by the author to the great jazz pianist Oscar Peterson, whose photograph and story appears on pages 70-71.
"Jazz Lives – 100 Portraits in Jazz" - Deluxe hardcover color illustrated volume by Gene Lees, photographs by John Reeves, signed and inscribed by Lees to Peterson, whose photograph and story appear on pages 60-61. Gene Lees was a journalist and music critic who became better known for writing books about jazz and jazz musicians, as well as being a lyricist. He published a syndicated Jazzletter, and later published three compilations of those as books. Gene and Oscar knew each other quite well and were friends for many years.
