Strauss apologizes for not having been able to speak personally to his correspondent, due to his son's recent illness [Franz Strauss contracted typhus on his honeymoon in Egypt in 1924.] He continues to thank the correspondent's wife, "Frau Dora," for the "birthday present, which gave me a great deal of pleasure and which will have a place of honor in our new home," and sends congratulations for a promotion and hopes for "great success in Berlin." 1 p. 8vo, single-sheet folded on Sudbahn-Hotel letterhead; small tear to the fold, but overall in fine condition. 6 x 8.5 inches (15.4 x 21.5 cm).
