A rare early signed photograph of the German-born Austrian conductor, widely considered one of the greatest conductors of the twentieth century. He is shown as a younger man ca. 1962, wearing glasses and a tie, and has signed in blue pen at the lower right. Photographed by Liselotte Strelow of Düsseldorf, with her stamp on the verso, and dated in pencil on the verso: July 11, 1962. One slight chip at the right edge; overall fine. 4 x 6 inches (10.5 x 14.9 cm).
