Autograph musical quotation from the great English pianist, a student of Clara Schumann who was particularly admired in Beethoven, Schumann, and Brahms, but was also one of the first to perform Debussy and Scriabin in London. She has penned the first two measures of Robert Schumann's Romance no. 2 (from 3 Romanzen, op. 28) and signed and inscribed at the foot, dating June 24, 1890. On a small album leaf with some slight corner losses; mounting remnants to verso; overall very good. 4.5 x 3.5 inches (11.5 x 8.9 cm).
