Cliburn, Van. (1934–2013) & Kondrashin, Kirill P. (1914–1981). Signed Carnegie Hall Program. Signed program from the celebrated pianist, who performed with Kirill P. Kondrashin and the Symphony of the Air on May 19, 1958 at Carnegie Hall, just one month after winning the first International Tchaikovsky Piano Competition in Moscow. Both Cliburn and Kondrashin have signed on the first page of the program listing, which included Prokofiev's Classical Symphony, Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto no. 1, and Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto no. 3. In very fine condition, together with two newspaper clippings reviewing the concert, stating: "...those who have backed him in this country and the Russians were right. He is a major talent." Program 19 pp., 7.25 x 9.25 inches (18.5 x 24.8 cm).
