Signed program from a Thursday, 2 October 1986 performance by the Boston Symphony Orchestra.  To mark the opening of the 1986 season, Music Director Seiji Ozawa led the ensemble in a performance of Mahler's Symphony No. 2 in C minor.  Ozawa has inscribed "To Paul / Seiji Ozawa" to the program listing, while soprano Edith Wiens and contralto Maureen Forrester have inscribed to the opposite page.  32 pp.  In fine condition.  5.5 x 8.5 inches (14 x 21.6 cm.).

From the collection of Paul McMahon, a critic, photographer and artist who worked for more than 13 years touring with Marlene Dietrich as the icon’s stage manager, announcer, dresser, secretary and escort, and later spent 25 years as an arts and entertainment reviewer and photographer with Gay Community News, Esplanade, Tommy’s Connection, The Mirror, Bay Windows and other publications.
