Shaw (then Executive Director of the Chicago Civic Opera), while conductor of the Chicago Opera Company. In very fine condition. 8 x 10.5 inches (21 x 27 cm).

Polacco had a long and diverse career: acclaimed in Russia as an early Wagnerian interpreter, at the Metropolitan Opera (1912-1917) where he succeeded Toscanini as principal conductor of the Italian repertoire, in Buenos Aires, Rio, Rome, Milan, Covent Garden and lastly, Chicago.
