[Talking Heads] Byrne, David. (b. 1952) [Mondino, Jean-Baptiste. (b. 1949)]. Three Oversized Contact Sheets for his solo album "David Byrne".
A set of three remarkable contact sheets, each measuring 11 x 14 inches, and including 79 original photographs of the Scottish-American singer-songwriter, director, music theorist, and member of Talking Heads. The three sheets include seventy-two 35mm and seven 4" x 4" images, including head shots and a number depicting the sort of odd movements and dances for which Byrne is well known. Together with an envelope from the Liberty Color Lab on Christopher Street, NYC. All in very fine condition.

Jean-Baptiste Mondino is a French fashion photographer and music video director(Madonna, David Bowie, Sting, Björk, Don Henley etc) and in addition to the cover photography for Byrne, has also photographed the covers and album packaging albums by Prince, Marianne Faithfull and others.

Though none of the images are the exact one finally used, these are all evidently from the cover photo shoot for Byrne's fourth studio album, "David Byrne," released in 1994. The album spent six weeks on the Billboard 200 chart and "Angels" and "Back in the Box" were the two main singles, the first of which entered the US Modern Rock Tracks chart, reaching #24.
