Marx, Groucho. (1890 - 1977). Signed Photograph in Copacabana. Signed doubleweight photograph of Groucho with his trademark cigar, shown in costume for the 1947 American musical comedy film Copacabana, amusingly inscribed "Best vegetable to Ben from Groucho Marx," who evidently had some trouble with the ink in the letter M (scratch attempts visible) and switched to pencil for the writing of his name. Very fine. 5 x 7 inches (12.5 x 17.5 cm). 

Directed by Alfred E. Green starring Carmen MirandaGroucho Marx and Steve Cochran, this was Groucho's first significant film appearance as a solo act, minus Harpo and Chico.
