Rich, Matty. (b. 1971). "Straight Out of Brooklyn" - Signed Photograph.
Signed Samuel Goldwyn promotional photograph of the film director and screenwriter on the set of his breakthrough 1991 film, Straight Out of Brooklyn.  Rich's inscription reads "To Paul / Thanks for your time / always / Matty Rich."  Very fine.  10 x 8 inches (25.4 x 20.3 cm.).

Rich was only 19 years old when he wrote, directed, and produced Straight Out of Brooklyn, filmed entirely in the Red Hook projects where he grew up.  The independent film was a critical and commercial success, winning numerous awards.

From the collection of Paul McMahon, a critic, photographer and artist who worked for more than 13 years touring with Marlene Dietrich as the icon’s stage manager, announcer, dresser, secretary and escort, and later spent 25 years as an arts and entertainment reviewer and photographer with Gay Community News, Esplanade, Tommy’s Connection, The Mirror, Bay Windows and other publications.
