Autograph note in the bold hand of the legendary actress, royal mistress, confidante of Oscar Wilde, racehorse owner, maker and spender of fortunes and one of the most elusive natural beauties of all time. Addressed to Mr. Kemble, evidently the British actor Henry Kemble (1848 - 1907): "I think I may have a part in the new play. One scene only but very good & very important." On letterhead with two crossed L's. 12.6 x 20.1 cm, tipped along the upper edge to a mount, 14.5 x 22 cm. On the verso of the mount, another letter to Mr. Kemble, from actor Lewis Walter and dated 1888, is displayed.
