An exceedingly rare signed photograph of the German-born American philosopher and political scientist who came to America as a refuge from the Nazis in 1940s and characterized "totalitarianism" in her hugely influential 1951 book. With the publication of The Origins of Totalitarianism, her reputation as a thinker and writer was established and a series of works followed. Apart from the present signed photograph we have traced no examples having appeared on the market in over 40 years of records.
