Inscribed printed visiting card of the great Italian tenor, the "outstanding 'tenore di grazia' of his generation." (Grove) Inscribed 'with many thanks and many wishes for 1964', together with the original envelope, postmarked 'Roma 1964' and addressed in Schipa's hand. From the collection of the Brighton-based opera fanatic and autograph hunter Sidney Giles, who died in 2013.
