An amusing piece of salon music by a really marvelously named composer about whom we have been unable to locate any biographical information, though his/her music is to be found in a number of libraries. The present work features an engraving of a giraffe above the title, which evidently concerns the nature of the music itself where the notes mount higher and higher above the staff, routinely reaching six ledger lines above the trees!
