Nikisch has signed boldly across the image of himself smoking in an armchair, ca. 1900-1910. Some creases and wear to the corners, but a crisp signature and overall in very good condition. 3.5 x 5.5 inches (9.1 x 14 cm).

Regarded as one of the founders of modern conducting , Nikisch held posts as principal conductor of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Gewandausorchester in Leipzig and the Berlin Philharmonic.
