Vintage Viennese postcard caricature of the composer and conductor, ca. 1910, shown in a highly amusing pose as Salome, bearing his own (Prophet!) head on a platter! Adding to the remarkable imagery, the platter drips not blood but a series of musical notes.  Some surface creases, else fine. 8.5 x 13.5 cm.
