[Pianists and Violinists] [Opera & Theatre] Sauer, Emil von. (1862–1942) & Paderewski, Ignace Jan. (1860–1941) & Menter, Sophie. (1846–1918) & Stojowski, Zygmunt. (1870–1946) & Gabrilowitsch, Ossip. Album of Concert Programs, 1890's London.
A remarkable album of over 90 original concert programs, clippings, tickets and flyers chronicling musical performances in 1890's Brighton, London, and Germany, with a predominance of important pianists and violinists represented, as well as opera and theatre programs, and a ticket to the Wagner Nights. Highlights of the performers represented include Emil Sauer, Ignace Paderewski, Pablo de Sarasate, Joseph Joachim, Nellie Melba, Adelina Patti, Emma Albani, and Henry Irving. Many of the programs with notes from the collector; the album is signed by the collector, Sybil Mary Curtis, on the front pastedown, and dated January 3, 1896. Heavy wear to the binding, with spine and boards largely detached; toning. Most programs laid down to the pages, with some loosely laid in. Most programs in fine condition and overall very good. 8.5 x 11 inches (22.2 x 28 cm).

The programs included record performances by: Ignace Jan Paderewski (December 10, 1892, April 9, [1897], May 26, 1891, October 31, 1891, October 21, 1893, December 16, 1893); Sigismund Stojowski (March 10, 1894); Sophie Menter (June 2, 1894); Pablo de Sarasate and Berthe Marx (November 12, 1892); organist W.
