Holiday, Billie. (1915–1959). Early Promotional Photograph with Name Misspelling.
Attractive cardstock photograph of the legendary jazz singer with a large smile on her face.  Numbered 605 to lower right, from a series of early promotional shots depicting Holiday in her trademark gardenia.  An earlier example we have offered with the number 583 used the erroneous spelling of her name as "Halliday," while here it is likewise incorrect, but written as "Holliday." In fine condition overall, 8 x 10 inches (20.3 x 25.4 cm.).

Revered as one of the greatest and most individual vocalists in the history of blues and jazz, Holiday died from cirrhosis of the liver at the age of 44.
