The original Broadway production of Brigadoon opened March 13, 1947, at the Ziegfeld Theatre, where it ran for 581 performances. The musical was revived at New York City Center in May 1950, produced by John Yorke. The following year did also indeed bring further success, with Paint Your Wagon opening on Broadway in December of 1951, also with Yorke credited as General Manager.
