Original program from a January, 1969 performance by the American Symphony Orchestra at Carnegie Hall with composer William Walton serving as guest conductor for an evening of his own works.  Walton has signed to the program listing, which includes the Johannesburg Festival Overture, Seven Pieces from Façade, Suites 1 & 2, the Concerto for Viola and Orchestra with Walter Trampler as soloist, and Symphony No. 2.  Light foxing throughout, else in fine condition.  8.5 x 11 inches (21.6 x 28 cm.).

A member of the Strub Quartet in his youth, Trampler eventually succeeded David Schwartz as violist in the Yale Quartet, and throughout his career he performed extensively as both a soloist and a chamber musician.
