The text reading "Nos autem gloriari oportet in cruce Domini nostri Jesu Christi: In quo est Salus" and being the Introit of Evening Mass on Maundy Thursday and the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in the Roman Catholic Church. Five staves of 4 lines.  3 x 3 inch watercolor initial "N" extending into margins. 19.5 x 14 inches (49.5 x 35.5 cm.) on vellum, in glass-fronted frame. Moderate wear and toning, overall fine.
