[Jazz]. Collection of Jazz Record Catalogs and Brochures, 1940's-1960's.
An interesting collection of 65 original jazz record catalogs, flyers, and brochures, dating from the 1940's to 60's, many with the stamp of the Yerba Buena Music Store in Oakland, California. The collection includes catalogs from many of the significant jazz labels of the era such as Blue Note, Columbia, and RCA Victor, as well as a several brochures and flyers relating to the West Coast Revival of New Orleans jazz, including the first catalog of Jazz Man Records and a flyer for three recordings of Lu Watters and the Yerba Buena Jazz Band on the Good Time Jazz Records label. Also included are 6 copies of the magazine supplement Jazz Records and 1 copy of Jazz Music, the International Jazz Magazine, published in London. Not only a fascinating glimpse at records of the era, the collection also features many boldly designed and graphically interesting brochures.

The brochures are overall in fine condition; the flyers are in various conditions from good to fine, some with creases and toning, a few with slight tears. Sizes range from 3 x 5 to 8.5 x 11 inches.
