Original 1960's postcard of the iconic doo-wop group, inscribed on the verso by singer Rudy Lewis, a member of the group from 1960 until his untimely death in 1964. He has inscribed in pencil: "To you Genny from Rudy of the Drifters. Please stay! Because you're some kind of wonderful. Best wishes always." Corner crease; overall fine. 3.5 x 5.5 inches (9 x 14.2 cm).

Lewis died in 1964 at the age of 27, the night before he was due to record "Under the Boardwalk," a song that had been written for him. Former lead vocalist Johnny Moore was brought back to perform lead vocals for the recording.
