Parker, Charlie. (1920-1955) . Signed Photograph. Signed photograph from the legendary jazz saxophonist, a cardstock publicity photograph of Parker in a half-length pose with his saxophone, signed and inscribed “To Bogson, Regards, Charlie Parker.” The photograph (2.75 x 3.5 inch / 7 x 9 cm) photograph has been mounted on a large stiff album sheet (8.25 x 9.25 inch / 21 x 23.5 cm), on which it is noted by the original Swedish collector that the signature was obtained on July 14, 1950. Also mounted on the page are a ticket stub and drink card from the famous New York jazz club, Bop City - presumably where the signature was obtained. Also mounted are a cut-out picture of a whisky bottle, photographs of Stan Kenton and Dizzie Gillespie, a receipt from the Times Square Music Shop (Stan Kenton records) and a photograph of the collector of the various items, "Lillis."

Authentic signed photographs by Parker are of the utmost rarity - the present signed photograph, sold with a nice group of ephemera from the NY jazz scene in which the autograph was obtained, is a superb example indeed.
