[Jazz & Song] Evans, Bill. (1929–1980). Bill Evans Trio - SIGNED LP. Rare signed photograph on an LP cover from the innovative and highly regarded jazz pianist who worked briefly with Miles Davis before forming his own trio in the late 1950s. Evans’s influence as a keyboard artist has been acknowledged by the likes of Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, and Keith Jarrett. Plagued by a decades-long struggle with hepatitis and drug addition, Evans died at the age of 51.


"Trio '65" album signed on the front cover in black ink next to his image, “Bill Evans ‘79" and signed additionally by Chuck Israels. This is the second pressing of Verve V6-8613, the playing surface as new, with a high luster. The non-laminated gatefold cover is bright and clean throughout, with slight rubbing on the front at the opening, 2” split at the center of the bottom seam. Scarce in any form.
