An extraordinary archive of original unpublished photographs, photograph contact sheets and original negatives from the archive of photographer, Jeanne "Bee" Baretich (1946 - 2012). An important record of the 1970's jazz scene in New York as well as a few other US cities, including 900 slides, 850 photographic negatives with their respective contact sheets, and 74 original 8 x 10 prints, most stamped or inscribed on the verso by the photographer, most of the negatives and slides inscribed with the dates and/or locations from when the images were shot.


The photographer, Jeanne Baretich, was also an actress, appearing in a number of Broadway plays and films, including small roles in "The Godfather II" and "Saturday Night Fever." A jazz enthusiast, she captured a striking record of the scene over the years she lived and worked in NYC.
