Recital program from a performance at the Welwyn Garden Music Club on March 18, 1946. The brilliant French violinist, who has signed the front of the program, was accompanied by her brother, the pianist Jean Neveu, in a performance including works by Bach, Beethoven, Corelli, Ravel, Paganini, and Scriabin. Signed programs from Neveu are rare. Some creasing, else in fine condition. Single sheet. 5 x 8 inches (12.7 x 20.3 cm.).
Neveu was launched into the international spotlight at the age of fifteen when she won the Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition. Often performing with her brother, the pair died tragically in a plane crash on her way to the US for a concert tour. Ginette was only 30 years old.
