These later reprint photographs have been used in a newspaper office and are stamped on the verso with dates from the 1980's to 1990's. In fine condition, each 5 x 7 inches (12.7 x 17.9 cm).
Gardner and Hemingway's friendship began in the 1950's, when she starred in his The Snows of Kilimanjaro and The Sun Also Rises. While visiting him in Spain, she became a fan of bullfighting, leading to a relationship with the star bullfighter Luis Miguel Dominguin. "It was a sort of madness, honey," she later wrote.
