Text, in full: "Dear Miss Budden, I fear I have made a strange mistake—I supposed your visit to the Academy was to take place next week—as you spoke of excluding 'Wednesday' from your available days, and only on Monday did you letter reach me: I was in the thick of engagements at the time. You must forgive me. Would it be possible for you to take luncheon here next Wednesday at 1 o'clock? My sister & I will be delighted if you can do so—finding it worthwhile to come so far for so little! Ever truly yours, Robert Browning."
