The Gendai Hanga Center exhibited the works they commissioned from Warhol in a 1983-1984 Japanese exhibition. This exhibition marked the formal release of his Kiku Flowers suite, a set of prints that would become remarkably successful and highly collected. A 184-page catalogue was created for the exhibition. The mostly black and white book, featuring text about the artist written in Japanese, also contains color plates featuring some of Warhol's best-known works. Bound into the book is an exquisite original screen-print of a Warhol Kiku flower.
